SHARING A MOMENT WITH YOU
I read your book twice. There are so many new and interesting insights that, for me, twice was required. I was caught up in the spell of your perception and your experiences with Lloyd.
Since the Grant/Haynes friendship was rooted in the earlier, leaner years when struggle was our context and we were dependent upon each other’s ability to consult and problem solve together, and when we cherished our beach parties, teeming with kids shared picnic baskets, and always, music, strangers and friends.
Your book is a gift to those who knew and loved him. I recommended it to four others who have read it. The book sheds light upon the fulfillment years for you and Lloyd. I personally thank you for the book and for the call to alert me to it.

“As I walked out the gate that would lead to my freedom, I knew if I didn’t leave my bitterness and hatred behind, I would still be in prison.” Nelson Mandela
“For some of my friends and neighbors, hate-filled words accomplished one of their many goals; separation from mainstream society. For others, it fostered an anger that grew to voracious proportions changing their view on life and themselves.” Lloyd Haynes from: The Lloyd Haynes Story
