Spotlight on super talented, 5⭐️ author, Shehanne Moore!
📕@ShehanneMoore SHEHANNE MOORE is a Scottish born author who writes gritty, witty, more risky than risqué, historical romance, set wherever takes her fancy–stories that detail the best and worst of human behaviour, as opposed to pouts and flounces. For years she did various jobs while pursuing her dream of becoming a published writer, so she was thrilled to be offered a contract by Etopia Press for The Unraveling of Lady Fury, six days after subbing it. Shehanne still lives in Scotland with her husband Mr Shey. She has two daughters. When not writing intriguing, and of course, sizzling, historical romance, where goals and desires of sassy, unconventional heroines and ruthless men, mean worlds do collide, she fantasizes about cleaning the house, plays the odd musical instrument and loves what in any other country, would not be defined, as hill-walking. Reading This Book Will Make You Better —Jim Campbell
Being old enough to have seen “Room 222” on TV as a young boy, this book caught my attention because I’d remembered a character in the show named Pete Dixon who then seemed like he must’ve been the best teacher and nicest guy in the world all in one.
Turns out, the actor who played Pete Dixon, Lloyd Haynes, probably really was the greatest guy ever.
This book is a lot more than a story about a TV program though.
Written not long ago by his wife Carolyn Haynes, after she found a trove of Lloyd’s keepsakes and personal writings following his passing, “The Lloyd Haynes Story” lays out much of his life for us and the values he lived by.
If you want to truly learn, understand and feel what it’s like to face and overcome adversity of the worst kinds (extreme poverty, KKK levels of racism and much more), somehow still come out of such strife with the most incredible personality, attitude, a deep sense of gratitude and a heart filled with love for others, it’s all in here.
It’s authored in such a way that it’s biographical and educational along with history lessons that unfold for us at the same time. You feel like you’re there living through it all with Lloyd.
Do read this book. You will grow from the experience and it will make you better… I know it did that for me.

BENEFITS OF READING Steven Spielberg—“Only a generation of readers will span a generation of writers. Reading broadens the thinking-horizon of a person, improves vocabulary and cultivates a sensitivity towards people of different cultures. Reading encourages the muscles of the brain into a healthy condition, expands the imagination, and the concentration which results in the ability to look at the problem objectively and therefore gain the ability to make better decisions. Reading biographies of individuals help the reader to learn the art of living and avoiding sometimes costly pitfalls.” 😀 ❤
